The Kamehameha Avenue-Pauahi Street intersection in Hilo will be closed in all directions from 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday to remove temporary traffic signals, powerlines and poles used in the recent road paving project, weather permitting.

The Kamehameha Avenue-Pauahi Street intersection in Hilo will be closed in all directions from 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday to remove temporary traffic signals, powerlines and poles used in the recent road paving project, weather permitting.

Special-duty police officers will be posted at the Ponahawai Street intersection, Pauahi Street intersection and at the Wailoa Bridge to facilitate traffic movement.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the Pauahi Street intersection.
